A lot of times
paddlers can watch paragliders while paddling. The paragliders hike
up the mountain, jump off, and land on the beach right by the
parking lot. It is beautiful to watch them while paddling!
The rarity of such an
un-crowded beach on Oahu
makes Kahana Beach Park one of the nicest beaches on the island.
Parking is plentiful
and restroom and shower facilities are available.
"You will feel
like you are paddling down the Amazon."
This location, by
far,
is the safest, and easiest location on all of Oahu to learn stand up
paddle. The waters are very shallow, which makes it child friendly.
The bay has an all sand bottom... so there is no chance of getting
cut up on coral.
In our opinion, it is
also the most beautiful location on Oahu!

Directions
From Waikiki take H-1 west to the Likelike exit. Follow the Likelike
for 7 miles and turn
left onto HI-83. Follow HI-83 for 14 miles. Beach is located
directly opposite Kahana State
Park.

Kahana beach can also
be easily reached by Bus from Waikiki or Honolulu.
